My ex cheated on me, so I flipped all his furniture upside down.
What the title says, pretty much. I had been together with him for about a year and he began cheating on me only two months in. He had me emotionally abused for a while so I kept going back, and he would cheat every time and attempt to blame it on me somehow. After the fourth time, I decided enough was enough and I finally left him for good.
He was at his friend's house, and I was with my friend in our home to grab the rest of my belongings from our house. My friend was with me just as support, because if I knew he was actually there he would try to keep me inside the house and get back together with him, and knowing me, I probably would. So they were there to prevent me from doing that and also grab my things with me. I was venting to my friend about this whole situation, when they said to me, "what if we turned all his furniture upside down?"
And so, we did.
I didn't want to actually break anything of his belongings because that just wouldn't help fix anything, so me and my friend went to work with finding any piece of furniture that could be flipped over safely and not be broken, coffee tables, end tables, laundry baskets, appliances. Even the trash can. While we were at it we also decided to open every single kitchen cabinet door alongside just every other door in the house, we unmade his bed, flipped the curtains. Nothing was actually broken in any way but he'll certainly have something to clean up. I left with the biggest smile on my face I've had in a while.
Was it petty? Absolutely. Was it childish? Yes. Was it necessary? No. Did I enjoy every second of it? Oh hell yes I did.
