I really didn't like my wife's makeup on our wedding day

My wife is lucky enough that she looks great without makeup and never wears it. Her two best friends who she had do her makeup for her wedding day? Literally cake their faces every day. So I feel like each of them did a coat on her. She came out looking absolutely nothing like my wife. Big angry eyebrows, done up like a clown. I had to check with my father in law to make sure this was her, didn't look like her at all. She said it was necessary for the pictures but she looks crazy in all the pictures because of it. Wouldn't want to tell her the truth but it was not a good look. Not a big deal but it's true: luckily every day since then she looks like her and we never look at the photos anyway. Edit: for those saying the wife wanted to feel beautiful - this was more a product of her friends not being professional makeup artists and getting overzealous. If she liked her look she would have done it again at some point. Never once lol
