Risking Friendship for Love? Help me

I'm in college and have a crush on one of my friend. I believe that he might also feel the same way, but I'm uncertain. We've been talking for almost two years now. Soon our college days going to end sincve this is our final semester, I'm considering to confess my feelings. However, I'm afraid that if he doesn't feel the same way, then it would have ruined our friendship. Losing our friendship is a terrifying thought. He's been an incredible friend, a constant source of support during tough times. Whenever I'm down, he's the only one who can lift my spirits and make things feel magical again. I haven't got a friend like him in my life because I had other friends too but the way I feel secure on him is different from others. My feelings for him are strong, but I'm torn between taking a chance on love and potentially damaging our friendship. Advices are welcome. Please help me, since I'm totally confused that the reason I have posted here.
