Lonely man paid me to pretend to be his granddaughter (not gross)

When I was younger, I met a guy in a discord server. We started chatting and I found out he was in his 60’s, but it didn’t bother me because he had been totally normal and respectful and only ever talked. After a couple weeks, he explained that his daughter had cut him out of his life and he didn’t get to see his granddaughter anymore and he missed her. He explained that he was lonely and missed her so much and offered to pay me an allowance weekly to just message him and chat during the day. He never got weird or gross, he was just lonely. He’d ask about my day, help me with homework, gave advice about problems I was dealing with. We spoke for a little over a year, and I genuinely enjoyed talking with him. One day he told me that his health was declining faster than he thought and he was going to be going to The hospital soon, then I just never heard from him again. I genuinely miss him a lot and I think about him all the time.
