I pranked the nursing home I work for and no one knows it was me
OK. Sounds bad but please read on. Also apologies I'm on mobile.
I work at a nursing home doing laundry and at times I see how miserable some of these folks are (some well deserved others definitely don't). I try to cheer some of the residents up with the cheesiest jokes I could come up with but some fall flat. With holidays coming up a lot of them were getting pretty sad because no one comes to see them. Now I was out and about and hitting up some random shops because I was bored when I went into a dollar store and found the item that set this in motion. Cat calls, a deck of cards with a bunch of pictures of cats with silly little saying like 'you are purr-fect' or 'you got to be kitten me'. I thought it was silly and was only a buck so why not? Then on the ride home the idea hit me. Thus my prank plan was in motion.
I go in early, like 4am early. And one of the first things I do is deliver the personal laundry while everyone is sleeping/wandering about. So in each room i placed a card in different spots near their mirrors. Every single room. Afterwards I still had extra so I hid them all over the nursing home in silly spots like the bulletin boards, some of the decor, and my personal favorite one right by the fish tank to make it look like the cat card was watching the fish. Then I went back to the laundry room and started folding the mountains of laundry (working here can be hellish at times but that's a different story). When I went on lunch break I heard the cnas and nursing talking and laughing about the cards and apparently the residents love them and they were basically playing eye spy to see if they could find them all. I got to see it when I went to drop off a new residents clothes and I was so happy to see them this excited over silly cat cards of all things. Best of all no one knows it was me.
If they're still there I think I'll go get another deck of those cards and see how many they'll find this time.
