The truth about cheap dog food. From a factory worker

Hello. I don't mean to put anyone down in this post for currently purchasing or purchasing in the past low teir dog food. That's not my goal. I just want to spread information. I work at a large chip factory, I won't specify which one for privacy. We mostly make chickpea chips, you can probably guess the brand off that alone. But we also make tortillas chips, potato chips, whatever brands have us making their product at the moment. We have these big giant red bins, called agricultural bins. They are supposed to be for unseasoned chips so that the ones that don't make the cut can be sold and shipped off to dog food facilities. There are posters on the wall stating not to put trash in these bins. However our supervisor tells us to dump our smaller trash bins into it, so trash does get in it. Empty chip bags, sweaty disposable gloves, earplugs, plastic, etc. That would be maybe okay since they supposedly sort through what we sell them. However that's not all we put in there. Firstly, the introduction of wet matter in these bins(doesn't usually happen but does happen.) is incredibly concerning for obvious reasons. But the worst part, the reason I'm making this post. Is my supervisor forces me to sweep chips off the floor and into these bins. So all the grime off people's shoes, poop, dirt, whatever else. And possibly even cleaning chemicals that had been on that floor. They will put anything in these bins. And it's going into your dog's mouth. Watch out for "bakery meal" and other similarly labeled things in dog kibble. They are NOT legally required to tell us about what's in our dogs food in this regard. I've done research and the law essentially fully covers this. Please be careful people. Sorry for the long post.
