I lost my virginity at 14 to a man who was 40

When I was 14(F), I received a strange phone call from a guy I had never spoken to before and he had asked to speak to my father. My father wasn't home, so I told him as much. He then started just talking to me, asking me questions about myself and this being the early-mid 90s, I didn't think much of it and had a conversation with him. He claimed he was 29. We eventually ended the conversation and I didn't really think about him again until a few days later when he called again, but this time to talk to me. Over the course of about 3 weeks, we talked off and on. Eventually, the conversation turned slightly sexual. He would ask me things like if I touched myself and if I had experience with any boys. I suppose he was grooming me. After about another week, he wanted to meet, so he actually picked me up from my school during my lunch period and took me to his apartment. I know, stupid. I was a dumb teenager, ok? Well, anyway, we get to his apartment and he starts touching me and eventually we had sex. I wasn't sure I even wanted to, but I went along with it. He then drove me back to school to finish out the day. We did this a few more times and I actually started to enjoy it. He later told me he was actually 40 and we stopped talking. I never heard from him again. I have never told anyone this confession, not even my husband or my best friend. I am in my 40s now and I think back on it and feel so dumb. I should have told my parents before he ever wanted to even meet up. So many regrets, but thankful I survived and didn't end up pregnant or with some kind of disease.
