The rapist got life without parole

Dude, I still can’t believe this happened. I was 17 when it went down, and now, six years later, the guy who raped me just got life without parole. Not sure how I feel about it honestly. Part of me is glad he won’t hurt anyone else, but another part is just… tired. Like, what do you even do with that kind of closure? It’s not like it undoes anything, you know? I don’t even remember half the trial because I was a mess the whole time. Still, sometimes I play my old voicemails just to remind myself how strong I was back then.
