My shrek underwear saved me from getting sexually assaulted

So this is gonna sound like a wild made up story, but it’s true and I want to preference this by saying the entire ordeal happened a couple months ago and was extremely traumatizing, but I just find a slight bit of humour in the fancy that shrek underwear saved me. I also want to say the guy has been reported and i have not seen him since, and my parents have since gotten me to go to therapy to work through everything. Ok so a little about me, I’m 19f and I’m currently in university away from home, so I’m staying in dorms on campus. Last year I started a collection of stupid underwear, I have about 20 pairs of briefs that have weird designs on them ranging from company logos, Christmas cats, and chickens wearing space suits, all the way to Shrek, shrek being my absolute favourite pair. I call them my Shrekerwear. I wear stupid underwear almost daily. What good is having a collection if you don’t wear them? Alright, onto what actually happened. About a month before the situation, I met this guy in one of my classes, he SEEMED really nice and for a while I considered him a friend. We bonded over computers, so I didn’t think much about it when he invited me over to check out his set up, he had recently gotten some new gear or something, idk that evening is now a blur. Eventually he started making moves on me and I kept saying no. He got pushier and pushier so I tried to leave but he wouldn’t let me. That’s when he got physical. I remember being thrown down and trying to fight back. He managed to get my pants off and then completely froze. I was wearing my Shrekerwear and it completely caught him off guard, I had never told him about my collection before. Anyways he froze long enough for me to get out from under him, pull up my pants and then run out the door. It was a horrible evening and the follow up afterwards wasn’t any better. I reported him to the school immediately, and he has not been to class since. But looking back after a couple months kind of makes me chuckle over the absurdity of the fact that my Shrek underwear saved me from getting raped.
