Will it work? I'm confused

So, I was introduced to this boy via an arranged alliance, and our parents agreed to exchange numbers so we could get to know each other. After talking for a while, I met him (only) with my family, and things went smoothly. (Though I have yet to meet his family). He has a job in another city far from where his parents stay. After marriage, I am expected to stay with his parents, and he will visit us once every 2-3 months. His job is nice and pays him well. I am also working with an MNC, so money won't be an issue. I don't know if this is going to work in the long run, especially since he says he won't quit or change his job. Also, staying with in-laws can either be a very good experience for me to cherish or one of the worst nightmares. How should I proceed, and what things should I make clear before making a final decision?
