I invented a fake operations lead at my remote job two years ago and it completely saved my career

I work fully remote doing freelance design and consulting for various business clients. Two years ago I had a client who was constantly calling me at 10 PM on Saturdays and demanding same-day revisions for zero extra pay. I was way too non-confrontational to push back. So I created a fake senior manager. i set up a second professional email account, added an Operations Lead title to my invoice templates, and wrote every reply in a strict, ice-cold corporate tone. Whenever a client tries to push weekend deadlines or demand unpaid labor, I tell them I have to route the request through management. Ten minutes later my "boss" sends a blunt email stating that out-of-scope revisions require a mandatory rush fee of $150 per hour. The system worked better than I could of ever dreamed. Clients immediately back down, apologize to the operations lead, and then message me privately saying "Sorry your management is so strict, we appreciate you though!" I have kept this going for two full years. This imaginary person has rejected dozens of awkward client requests and saved me hundreds of hours of unpaid weekend work. The problem is that a major client just asked if my operations lead could join our quarterly Zoom call next week. I am currently trying to figure out how to give a FICTIONAL person laryngitis.
